Hello,

Thank you for sharing your childhood story with me. It further affirms my believe that the changes I’m making right now is on the right path. Listening was a turning point in my parenting life. Well, actually, listening was also a turning point in the family. Not only did I open up and listen, I also pushed my wife and my kids to open up and listen. It’s a 2-way street.

Another thank you for reminding me about “love”. I realize that it’s better to explicitly say it instead of expecting my children to feel it through my actions. No matter how awkward it is, I still say “I love you”, especially when things get tense because, as you say it yourself, the effect was amazing. Not only to my children, but to me as well. At the very least, it soften my heart.
