Every time somebody asked me about the difference between lean and agile, my first response will be “lean is dealing with process, agile is dealing with product”. If your aim is simply efficiency, go with lean, but if you aim for creating a better product, go all the way with agile. I emphasis on “go all the way” because to be agile, you have to be lean. However, to be lean, you don’t have to be agile.

The above is definitely basic, but I think it really shows the difference between lean and agile.
